Miami Airport has a very special place in my heart. Some of my strongest memories of my father are at this airport. When I was 4 years old I left the United States (and him) for Japan. For the next decade I flew in and out of MIA countless times. Across the country, across the Pacific, across the Atlantic, but always back to MIA. And he was always there to pick me up. This is the first in a series of tees commemorating the many airports across the country and around the world that I have spent time in. There is something oddly comforting to me about airports. They are warm, bright colorful stops along the way as you reach out and explore something new!
